The Vision Group of the Blind

The Vision Group of the Blind was launched on 22nd February 2007.

Originally the group had a total membership of 15. Nevertheless the number increased to 20 in a span of one month. This was due to the burning desire and zeal of members to propagate the group’s revolutionary agenda.

After a series of passionate preliminary meetings that focused on popularizing the group’s objectives among its members as well as the constitution making process, The Vision Group Of The Blind boldly set out on the path to fulfill its life-changing dream. This however was never to be an easy undertaking as the group suffered an acute shortage of funds and depended entirely on monthly subscriptions by its members, 90% of whom were unemployed.

The group’s first priority was therefore to build the foundation for its operations and to put systems in place for effective service delivery for its members and the society at large. It has since engaged in numerous and diverse activities aimed at achieving this crucial goal.
